In February 2009, the Office of the Third Sector (OTS) pledged to help the third sector to deliver extra help to those that need it most during the economic downturn. The Targeted Support Fund is aimed at local authority areas that are considered most at risk of increasing levels of deprivation as a result of the recession. Calderdale & Kirklees are such areas, and will receive have a grants programme for small, local, third sector service providers.

The Community Foundation for Calderdale is managing the programme on behalf of the Office of the Third Sector, and is very pleased to announce grants in the region of £25,000 for activities under the following themes; information, advice and guidance; employment and employability and health and well being.
