Leigh-Anne Stradeski - Chair

Leigh-Anne is Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Foundation and has been the Chief Executive of Eureka! The National Children's Museum in Halifax, since April 2000. Brenda Hodgson - Vice Chair

Brenda has run her own Public Relations and Marketing consultancy, Blackwood Communications, for over 18 years. Richard Hemblys - Treasurer

Richard was born and brought up in Halifax and educated at Highlands Grammar School. He joined Spenser, Wilson & Co. Roger Moore- Chair of Finance Committee

Roger began his career as a materials engineer and worked as a lecturer at the University of Zambia and then the City University in London. He retired recently and now lives in Cragg Vale with his wife - click here to read more about Roger

Juliet Chambers- Chair of Grants Committee

Juliet works with HomeStart Halifax, which secured three years National Lottery funding as their Designated Safeguarding Person and volunteers for Calderdale Help in Bereavment Services (CHIBS)- click here to read more about Juliet

Carol Stevenson - Company Secretary

Carol is one of the partners at Finn Gledhill Solicitors in Halifax and is the Foundation's Company Secretary, as well as member of the Finance Committee. She has practised in Halifax for nearly 25 years, although she trained and worked in Leeds at the then Simpson Curtis Solicitors (now Pinsent Mason) and joined Finn Gledhill in 1983 on a part-time basis after a career break- click here to read more about Carol

Kate Hinks

Kate handed her role as Chair of the Foundation's Board over to Leigh-Anne in January 2010 after completing three year's service. Kate has been a Trustee on the national Board of the Community Foundation Network since 2004 and is the Associate Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at the Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust

Russell Earnshaw

Russell's career choice as a young man was textiles, and so he took a three year textiles technology Diploma course at the then Huddersfield Technology College. After a career in this field, and then later in property, Russell is keen to now give something back to the community - click here to read more about Russell

Sue Fisher

The Foundation would like to thank Alison Roberts, who retired as a trustee in January 2010, for her nine years of service on the Board. We would also like to thank all of of our board members, committee memebers and associates, for their support with the Foundation.

Volunteers

We at the Foundation are very lucky to have fantastic volunteers who give up their time to help us and make a difference to their community. These people have a variety of skills to assist in the smooth running of the Foundation and we are very grateful for their time and energy.

Catherine Pasek

Catherine helps out with writing, editing and PR tasks for the Foundation whenever she has a free Monday. She is a freelance copywriter and editor working predominantly in internal communication for corporate clients, but also for advertising and design agencies. 

Fran Orford

Graham Hudson

Graham has worked in general management, training, people management and business consultancy. He joined us to help maintain and develop his skills, learn more about the charity sector and put something back into the community. Graham is producing the annual Profile reports for donors and in the process, developing a template that can be used in the future. Time permitting, he will then move onto other administrative work.

James Johnston

James has previously worked in Financial Services, mainly in Insurance, Marketing and Banking and joined the Foundation to share his knowledge and to improve his understanding of the charity sector. Currently, James is assisting with the monitoring and evaluation of grants which have been awarded to local community groups.

Karen Hodgkinson

Having previously worked in retail and as a data entry clerk in Calderdale, Karen has joined the Foundation to build her confidence in an office environment and boost her administration skills. She is currently working on mail-merging and archives.

Lukasz Sledziak

After previously woring in administration at the Court of Justice in Poland, Lukasz started volunteering for the Foundation to gain more experience and develop his skills. He is currently working on archiving and sometimes helps out with accountancy.

 Richard Greenhalgh

Having graduated from the University of Hull with a degree in Marine and Fresh Water Biology, Richard has joined the Foundation team to gain some marketing experience. He will be working on primarily on the Calderdale Pledge and updating the website in addition to helping out with other marketing and PR tasks.
