Donating

Many people and organisations would like to respond to different needs in their local community, but don't always have the time or expertise to do this.

Without specialist knowledge it can be difficult to find out about the many local charities and voluntary groups doing worthwhile work in the area. It is also hard to know if your charitable giving is reaching the most deserving causes and being put to the best use.

Research into the community and its needs enables the Community Foundation for Calderdale to be at the leading edge of grant-making in the area. By donating to the Community Foundation for Calderdale you are donating to your local community and can be assured that your money will be directed to the areas of need.

Every donation we receive makes a difference and goes towards helping local people. General donations are pooled with others to have greater impact and are used to address urgent community needs.

Your generosity could help projects and groups as diverse as a community centre facility, sports club, theatre group, recycling scheme, youth club, or elderly persons' group.
