Match funding for
Calderdale charities and voluntary groups has launched!
Rachel Julien Caldredales Localgiving.com Project Officer says “We’re really pleased that we have launched the Localgiving.com Calderdale Match Fund this week… this means that up to £250 per group will be matched for donations given through Localgiving.com to groups in Calderdale, and a wopping £5000 of funding is available over”
Match funding is a great opportunity to make a real difference to Groups in Calderdale so if you were thinking of donating to a local group now is the time to do it, the donations these groups receive over the next couple of weeks will make a huge difference to the work they do for example:
If you donated £5 to NOEL on their localgiving.com site they would receive £10 – This would enable them to provide sheet music for two members of the group
If you donated £10 to Noah’s Art Community Cafe & counselling Centre they would receive £20 – This would enable them to purchase two Rainbows workbooks for two children suffering a loss or bereavement & a Handbook for one Rainbows facilitator.
So far there are 42 groups registered on localgiving.com in Calderdale and some of the group have already had donations and are publicising the opportunity amongst their supporters and members, there are lots of great ideas of how to publicise and fundraise on the web site.
Remember – the Calderdale Match Fund closes at the end of the day on December 2nd. Groups and donors can check to see how much of the £5000 pot is left by clicking on http://localgiving.com/calderdalematchfund
Good luck to all those raising money in the next few weeks and huge thank you to those who make kind and generous donations
