Awarded by the judges to the organisation they believe has consistently delivered outstanding service to its beneficiaries, sustained or raised its profile, operated clearly in its policies and strategies and demonstrated excellence all round. Click to nominate

The winner of this category will be an ‘all-round’ player with multiple attributes and resources which positively impact on a charitable organisation or social enterprise.. Click to nominate 

As a contributor, mentor or volunteer, their giving of time and/or finance, will have had a measurable impact on the effectiveness of a charity or social organisation.

Alternatively, the successful entrant may be a person or partnership who have developed innovative ways of generating income which have been integral to the progression of a charity or organisation.

The nominee is considered by communities as a pillar of their communities. The dedicated individual will have backed local initiatives and projects and encouraged members of their community to work together in order to strengthen their community by tackling local issues or creating opportunities for members of the community.. Young Community Champion – sponsored by Benjamin Roberts Solicitors

This category is open to under 21’s who have engaged, inspired and motivated their peers or other people in support of a social cause or initiative.

This young person will have used their skills or enthusiasm to champion a cause close to their heart. These individuals hold core values and are making positive impacts as a role model in their community.. Click to nominate 

Community School – sponsored by Suma

This award will be accredited to a school or college that is achieving optimum and effective communication between the school and its wider community.

This category is also aimed at schools or colleges which have gone that extra mile to help a charity or cause. The award wishes to showcase an educational centre, however large or small, whose ethos of considering and helping others is high on its school policy.. Click to nominate

This award will be given to a charitable organisation who demonstrate high level of skills, care and professionalism needed to manage and deliver services sensitive to the needs of older people and an awareness that investment in this type of service provision will meet increasing demand in the future.

New category: Social Enterprise – sponsored by Calderdale Credit Union

This award recognises an organisation that exists to address a social need, reinvesting profit or surplus from trading activity to achieve its social mission. The winner will have achieved great impact and be able to demonstrate excellence in all aspects of enterprise – from innovation, staff engagement and customer focus to growth, leadership and financial performance..
