A Sweet Welcome to Nestlé & Little and Georgiou!

Following the Community Foundation for Calderdale’s (CFFC) recent double award recognition at the Halifax Courier Community Spirit event in July it is on a membership drive to encourage local individuals, businesses and voluntary groups to support its work in giving grants up to £5,000 to where they are most needed in Calderdale.

Membership income from businesses, charities and individuals enables CFFC to continue to improve the lives and unite the people of Calderdale through effective grant making.

The Community Foundation for Calderdale would like to welcome ‘Little and Georgiou’ and Nestlé UK who have pledged their support to CFFC and have signed up as £400 corporate members.

Little and Georgiou are a Halifax based Independent Financial Advisors company, which was established in 1989 by two of the current Partners, Richard Little and Jason Georgiou.

Little and Georgiou provide high quality advice to personal and corporate clients throughout the UK and have a reputation for hands-on, client-focused solutions. Little & Georgiou provide independent advice to their clients in a wide range of areas, including Pensions and Retirement Planning, Mortgage Services and Estate Preservation, plus many more!

CFFC would like to thank Little and Georgiou for their support.

Nestlé UK has been a part of life in the UK since the 1860s and in 1905 opened its first UK factory. To date Nestlé UK employ over 6,500 employees over 20 sites. One if these sites is the Nestlé Rowntree Factory in Halifax, which is 1 of 7 Nestlé factories in the UK.

An interesting fact – Almost seven million Quality Street sweets are manufactured every day at the Nestlé Rowntree factory in Halifax. Laid end to end, a week’s production would stretch from Halifax to London 3 times over!

Thank you to Nestlé UK for their support!

Membership income directly benefits local projects and activities, and individuals suffering hardship as well as contributing to CFFC’s day to day running costs. For companies, families or individuals wishing to support the work of CFFC over and above annual membership there are opportunities to set up Named Funds e.g. The Joe Bloggs Fund where grants are distributed in accordance with the Fund Holders wishes.
