Professional Adviser Events

What is a Professional Advisor Event?
The Community Foundation's professional advisor events have been set up to inform local Solicitors, Accountants and Financial advisors on options open to their clients regarding charitable giving in their local area and how the Community Foundation for Calderdale can assist them.
Why attend?
The Community Foundation for Calderdale is unlike most charities because we fund many different types of good causes including groups working in areas such as Children & Young People, Homeless, Older Peoples Service, Sport, Arts, Disability, Community Development, Environmental.
It is this flexibility that many donors find attractive, because they are not tied to one particular type of cause they have the freedom to support many different groups in Calderdale making a widespread difference across Calderdale
The aim of these events is to get to know you and find out how we can help local people make a big difference to charities in Calderdale and to share information that can benefit your clients when they are thinking of supporting charities, for example the most tax efficient ways to give, Gift Aid Benefits
What happens at the events?
Each event is different and held at one of many different locations across Calderdale, but they will all include:
  • Networking
  • Guest speaker
  • Tea & coffee on arrival
  • Hot & cold buffet
  • Wine with meal
  • Lots of great information
