ABS Fund

Grant size: Up to £950

Location: Calderdale

Deadline: April 26th 2019

At ABS, we believe there’s always a better way.

And that thinking drives everything we do. From finding efficient new ways to help our customers to use the latest technical innovations, we provide better service, better thinking and better profits to all of our customers.

And to top it all, we put large amounts of money behind the ABS Foundation, so we make the world better too.

To celebrate 30 years of #ABetterWay The ABS Foundation and Community Foundation for Calderdale (CFFC) are looking to support 12 different groups either based in or delivering services in Calderdale with funding, every month between May 2019 and April 2020.

About the Fund

Ideally, eligible organisations will NOT have paid staff and they are able to meet the Community Foundation’s eligibility criteria here.

Each of the 12 chosen groups will receive a £950 donation towards a specific project.

At the beginning of May 2020, one of those 12 charities will be chosen to receive an additional £10,000 worth of funding.

Applications will be accepted monthly from 29th March 2019 and will close on 29th March 2020 (organisations awarded a grant from this Fund will not be eligible to apply to the ABS Fund again but can apply to other CFFC funds).

Please see below the proposed timetable for the application process for each monthly award by clicking here.

Any applicant requiring further information should contact the CFFC grants team by email: rob@cffc.co.uk, elsa@cffc.co.uk, danni@cffc.co.uk or michelle@cffc.co.uk. Or by telephone on 01422 349700. Support is also available from the VSI Alliance on 01422 348777.

The final decision of the successful groups will be made by ABS and CFFC staff on a monthly basis, either face to face or by telephone/email. The decision will be based on the quality of the application, demonstration of the need and where we see the funding will have the greatest impact. The current CFFC guidance and scoring system will be used to determine the likely impact.
