The Community Spirit Awards are back……
The Community Spirit Awards, which recognise the achievements of charities, community groups and the companies that support them, comprising of 14 categories, including Charity of the Year, Best Use Of Technology, Best New Charity, Charity and Corporate Partnership and Volunteer of the Year and Young Community Champion which recognises individuals who give freely and generously of their own time to make Calderdale an even better place to live, are back with a bang.
Emma Woods-Bolger Assistant Director of the Community Foundation for Calderdale, said “The response to our call for nominations for this year’s Community Spirit Awards has been amazing. Over 80 nominations have been received from individuals, community groups and charities”.
The entries were judged by a panel of 4, Steve Duncan CEO Community Foundation for Calderdale, Sian Rogers Policy & Projects Manager, lead for Voluntary and Community Sector, Simon Walton Director Riley & Co, and Jason Stamp Chief Officer of North Bank Forum.
The judges have shortlisted 46 organisation and individuals, the winners will be announced at a black-tie dinner on the evening of September 28th.
